From the castle forecourt you can look out over Edinburgh to the Salisbury Crags and Arthur’s Seat. The whole area was formed in prehistoric times but volcanic upheaval. Our flat is only 15 minutes walk to the castle in one direction, and 15 minutes walk to the Crags in the other direction. Pretty handy.
